For those of you who get about a bit, this kind of guide is worth more than its weight in gold, as it contains details of thousands of places to fish for all types of anglers in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

It's a bit difficult to sit here and review such a book. Let's face it, you're not going to sit up and read it in bed at night. It's a book that's designed to be used, rather than read.

One thing's for sure, though, you'll be able to find somewhere to fish on just about all of your travels, as this guide doesn't just list the usual commercial fisheries that advertise in the angling press, but has details of club waters (along with contact addresses and phone numbers) and free waters, too. On top of that, there's also information on beach fishing available and a contacts section with details of "fish farms, fishery agents, fishing clubs and national organizations."

Each listing details the location, how much it costs, what you might catch, any restrictions that apply and any other information that is deemed useful.
