Sharks galore at Narcondam Island

The guys at Fishing Khao Lak have been in touch to tell us about their first March 2006 trip out on Gecko to Narcondam Island, a non-active volcano about 140 miles NE of Port Blair.

On the trip they had the pleasure of having Captain Pontus Bengtson, the owner of Sweden’s oldest fishing charter company; Fladen Fishing along with Stefan 'Manta' Mostroem and his son Tim, along with good friend Lars, onboard for an unforgettable days fishing.

Between them they banked everything from wahoo, yellowfin and Dogtooth Tuna right through to a 440lb copper shark, their second that day over 400lb which came shortly after landing a 200lb plus hammerhead on a 20lb rod!
