General Fishing on all lakes is cracking the best of the year with all species spawned and feeding up again to gain strength and stature. Young fingerlings spawned in early May showing in shoals getting chased by fish. Feed patterns getting and keeping the hungry fish in your swim, feed more and often now the water temperature is up, and with larger baits you catch larger fish. Waggler or pole close by reeds at about 3ft or go off the 2nd shelf at 6ft deep, keep a swim fed at 6 meters out if fishing close in, bome or feeder to the back bank again close in all producing well. Keep 2 /3 swims fed to keep the fish feeding in at least one swim, then if swim dries up switch to your second or third swim and feed the first. Just keeping a constant rotation as each swim dies off . Lookout Monday Norman Eden catch on peg 16 aa his daily quota of 100 fish when he then goes home including 11 tench to 5lb, 2 golden tench to 2lb loads of skimmers and mixed silvers all on soft hookers with garlic flavouring Tuesday Doug Peel hit his target of 100 fish including including 23 carp, tench and a good mixed bag, Luke Bruce produced mixed bags including lots of Carp to 4lb, Tench to 3lb and some good crucians to a total of 67 fish. Bowes Choose pegs well according to wind and you will have a large haul of fish, Jimmy Hagan produced a great 6lb 8oz young carp as well as 67 others average weight 2lb 8oz. Chris Abbott fishing Peg 1 took a fish a chuck on Saturday and his reasoning is it is all in getting the feed patterns correct. Large doubles favouring the 25 mm Halibut pellet and 10mm hair rigged fish meal feed pelt, Bassetts Great catches on here and great shelter in winds correctly tackle up and plumb up and constantly drip feed and you achieve fishing at fish a chuck. Adrian Scott produced a cracking days catch with over 145 fish, carp, crucians, tench, ide, orfe, rudd, roach, best was a carp at 3lb.
