Carp Fishing Report - 21st June, 2009

Dave Woodcock from Wootton Bedford fished at Luton AC's Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick Beds and caught a 25lb 4oz Mirror Carp at 9pm. Successful bait was Matt Hayes Crunch Boilies fished close to the overhanging willows.
 
Luton AC Bailiff Richard Whiteman fished the Grand Union Canal near his Leighton Buzzard home and caught a 21lb Mirror Carp using a CC Moores Odyssey XXX boilie tipped with a piece of fake corn.
 
At Luton AC's North House Lake on the Wyboston Complex Near St Neots fishing has been slow this week with Nick Crisp catching the best fish of the week a 25lb Common Carp. H Millier had a 15lb Common Carp, Richard Swan had an 18lb Mirror Carp on bread off the top and Mark Farrell had two Common Carp to 15lb.

Mark Woolley

At Newport Pagnells Sherrington Rd Pit Complex Mark Woolley and his fishing partner Gareth walked the lakes daily for three days before settling on a weedy shallow area where they had seen fish rolling. Fishing to clear spots in the weed the 25yr old from Milton Keynes baited each rod with Vitabaits 15mm Bloodworm Boilies and introduced 20 freebies to each. During their 48hr session they caught 10 fish with the best for Mark being a personal best and lake record equalling 28lb 3oz Common a stunning 23lb 5oz Orange Ghost/Koi and a 19lb 11oz Common, Gareth also got in on the action with a 17lb 1oz Common. Fishing the same spot a few days later Mark had a 19lb 7oz Mirror again on a Vitabaits Bloodworm Boilie.

Carp Addicts Field Tester Harlo Buchan from Milton Keynes fished at Great Linford Lakes day ticket lake and caught a personal best Mirror carp of 22lb 12oz and another Mirror of 18lb. Both fish were caught using Carp Addicts Detonator Boilies fished over mixed pellets. Harlo then moved to MKAA's Furzton Lake where he spodded out a bed of hemp, crushed boilies and oats and caught a 17lb near Linear Mirror again on a Carp Addicts Detonator boilie.
