Darren Belton lands 40lb Carp

Chub Carp Academy member, Darren Belton has landed his target fish of the season.

The 40lb Carp was caught using a Chub Vantage 3.5lb TC rod, terminal tackle from Rigmarole and red Indian boilies from HBS during a 48 hour session.

The fish was caught in a 20 acre southern pit that Darren has been targeting for most of the summer.

Caught at a range of 40 yards, this is Darren’s 13th 40lb+ Carp. Darren also landed a 25lb Mirror during the session.

Darren said;
“It is a great achievement for me to have caught this fish with such a good result.

Where I was fishing, the fish have been down in weight due to heavy spawning so it came as a pleasant surprise to have this one at over 40lb.”
