A Hardy rod fit for a King |
|
The rod was specially commissioned by Newcastle City Council and underlines the very special relationship the Council has with businesses in the North East region, and the relationship Hardy & Greys Ltd have with Norway. Hardy and Greys Ltd were delighted to support Newcastle City Council with this presentation made by the Lord Mayor of Newcastle and Councillor, David Wood supporting its historic connections with both the North East and also Norway, where Hardy fishing tackle has enjoyed prestigious connections over generations. The honour afforded King Harald V as the highest the city council can offer any individual and marks the 40th anniversary of the official opening of the Newcastle Civic Centre. At the ceremony Andrew Sowerby, International Sales & Events Manager for Hardy & Greys Ltd, offered the gift of the very latest concept and design that Hardy has to offer and was moved to say: “We as a company are delighted to be able to offer the Angel 2 outfit as a gesture of appreciation for the support Norway has given to the firm over the years and also continue our company’s historic association with both the country and her legendary Salmon rivers.”
