REDBRIDGE LAKES MATCH FISHING FOR HEROES |
|
News Release On Friday 15th September 2011, Redbridge Lakes, one of the fastest growing silver fisheries in the UK held its first ever charity event for “Help for Heroes” to raise money for the many heroes fighting for our nation in the armed forces. The match started at 10am and the final whistle sounded out at 3pm. Although both Lake Cuthbert and Lake Daisy chose to fish hard on the day, the guys all fought hard, regularly changing their tactics to ensure they had a net full at the final whistle. Winning the match and well above second place with 34lb, 12 ounces was Mark Scott. The top four match results all with mixed bags of Chub, Roach, Bream, Tench and Gudgeon weighed in as follows:
The Help for Heroes charity match fishing event was a monumental success with over thirty anglers taking part and an army of spectators who came to the lakes to offer their support to our anglers. With 100% all proceeds for the day going to “Help for Heroes”, Redbridge Lakes raised a fantastic £710.00!
