The work on view at Howards House will be a combination of fishing pictures and a range of other subjects too, by various artists including Nick Andrew who paints around the River Wylye near his home, Mick Loates who has contributed to numerous wildlife publications, Robin Armstrong who is a highly regarded wildlife artist as well as an author on natural history (his Brown Trout is attached and retails at £850) and Salisbury based artist Katherine Swinfern Eady. Owner of the Jerram Gallery Mark Jerram says: You dont have to fish to enjoy our art and there are styles and subjects to appeal to everyone. We are delighted to have a chance to bring a small selection of artists work to a wider audience outside the gallery. Howards House Hotel owner Noele Thompson added: With anglers gearing up for the start of the fishing season this seemed timely and weve already had a great reaction from guests and visitors who cant wait to see the work and to have a chat with Mark Jerram. The hotel, which was built in 1623, is set in two acres of glorious garden in the quietness of the lovely Nadder valley and is the first choice for many anglers who choose to enjoy a stay whilst pursuing their favourite hobby or sport. The work will be on display from 15th March 2008 and all pieces are for sale with prices starting from £500 to £2,000.
