Essex Boat Report - Jenna D

We've just received the following report from Dave Weaving, skipper of Jenna D, a fast Offshore 105 operating from West Mersea, Essex:

"Been fishing the river this week earlier due to the weather. Good run of Herring on small feathers. These were being pursued by bass, several of which we caught and retained a few mostly over 18 inches.

Saturday flat calm but with 5 good anglers on we bucked the trend and stayed local. We had 27 codling biggest 6lbs and 4lbs, 100 plus whiting and one skate of 11lbs. NOT BAD FOR A RIVER TRIP.

Sunday we did the same but less fish. Ten codling to 4lbs and numerous whiting.
