Max Has A Real ACE Up His Sleeve...

Greys Carp Consultant, Max Cottis, has produced another big hit during a recent 48 hour session at Grenville.

Fishing the 80 acre syndicate water in Cambridgeshire, the Director of ACE (Advanced Carp Equipment) landed 19 Carp, including seven 30’s to 39lb along with another eight 20’s and four doubles.

Fishing Peg 12, Max began by baiting each rod with around 2kg of Mainline Cell and fished either Cell or Hi Viz Pineapple pop-ups on size 8 long shank hooks tied to 7" of 20lb ACE Gravel Camo-Core hooklinks.

Using the new Greys 12’ 3.25lb Torsion rods, Max blasted out a single pop-up 140 yards on his left rod choosing to fish the other two on top and down the side of a bar at 45yds and 60 yards.

Max said;
"It was my first trip out on Grenville using my new Torsion rods and to say I was happy with their performance would be an understatement! Not only did they comfortably hit the extreme range required on one rod but they played fished beautifully.

"This latest catch takes my tally of 30’s from the water to 17 this season; hopefully I’ll get another session in before it closes at the end of May and take the number to 20... this would be a very worthwhile return for the limited time I’ve spent up at this amazing water!"
