Nellins Battles In Spring Sweep

Hardy & Greys Ltd Product Development Assistant, Scott Nellins has won the recent ‘Spring Sweep’ Fly Fishing competition on Stocks Reservoir, Lancashire.

18 anglers battled it out in the 8 hour loch style competition, each having to comply with international Rules.

Using his Greys Platinum XD Comp Special rod for the first time, Hardy Demon 5000 Reel and new Hardy Mach Clear Intermediate line, Scott fished using the washing line method with long slow pulls, whilst landing 21 Trout.

Scott said;
“This is a great start to the season, and I am very much looking forward to using the Greys Platinum Comp Rod this year - It handled the rough conditions effortlessly.

Credit must go to the Stocks management for the great job they are doing, hopefully more people will attend the next sweep.”
