Pulborough AS Report - 22 June 2008 |
|
At a recent meeting with our landlord at Moor Farm, some disturbing problems regarding the behaviour of a minority of our members were raised. It appears that while night fishing there has been a lot of noise, swearing, the consumption of alcohol and lots of litter to be cleared up. This has caused some distress to our landlord his wife and guests. To cement the good relations that the Society has always had with at Moor Farm, night fishing on any of the Moor Farm lakes is now banned with immediate effect. Members must be off the fishery by dusk. This rule will be strictly enforced. The idiotic behaviour of a few, has spoilt things for the majority of our members. There is also a problem with cars being driven onto the lake banks. Our landlord has allowed registered disabled members the privilege of driving to their swims. If non disabled members continue to flaunt this rule he will stop this concession. The registration numbers of two consistent offenders are GY**KSE a blue Ford Fusion and X1*7AAP a green Vauxhall Astra if you are registered disabled you must display your badge. If you are not disabled and the owner of one of these vehicles, don’t do it again, you have been warned. If one of our bailiffs reports you to the committee you will lose your membership. Barbed hooks are banned at Moor Farm so do not use them, our bailiffs have been instructed to check and report any offenders to the committee who will probably end your membership In view of increasing fish diseases a net dip is to be installed at Moor Farm, you must dip your keep nets, landing nets and unhooking mats prior to fishing As our membership increases we need more bailiffs. If you are interested and would like some further information about what is involved, then please contact the secretary. Catch Reports Goose Green
