Wellsfield Trout Fishery­ Weekly Report for Week Ending: 16/11/08

Another good week produced plenty of trout.  The fishery lochans are all fishing very well at the moment.  Many anglers bagged up and the average weight was over 3lb per trout with many 4lb –5lb trout caught over the week.  

Club Bookings now being taken for 2008, clubs are advised to book early to get the dates they want.

ONE Yellow £50 Prize tagged trout were caught this week, however the angler never entered so lost out on the £50 prize.
 
TWO specimens were caught this week: Mr Edwards (Alloa) caught a 12lb rainbow in his bag of 4 for 24lb using mini-lures, and Mr McGregor (Falkirk) caught a 9lb rainbow from the bait pond using white powerbait in his 3 for 15lb.

Best flies this week: Mini-Sparklers, Damsel, Diawl Bach, Buzzers fished on a floating line with 5ft polyleader sink tip.  Best bait: Powerbait, Maggots and Taz’s.
