Wellsfield Trout Fishery

Weekly Report for Week Ending: 28/3/2010

The fishery is now open till 8pm 7 days per week for evening sessions.  The closing time will gradually be extended to 10 pm as the summer goes on.  The fishery fisher very well again this week and many anglers bagged their limits this week using the best techniques for fly or bait fishing depending on weather conditions.  Rainbow, Blue and Brown Trout featured amongst the catches.

ONE Red £50 Prize Tagged Trout was caught this week by lucky angler Mr Donaldson (Falkirk).

Best Flies this week: Yellow Dancer, Olive Damsel, Diawl Bach, PTN, Black Buzzer/Cruncher. Best Bait: Green Powerbait, Worms, Maggots, Mepps, Taz’s.
