Better rivers at the click of a mouse – thanks to WWF’s new web site

Better River Basins is a unique development that will help users improve freshwater management throughout the world.
 
Designed as a ‘one stop shop’, Better River Basins is an evolving resource packed with information on policy, technical guidance, river basin maps and plans, demonstration projects, legislation and research.
 
The resource includes essential material from the UK, Europe and elsewhere and is aimed not only at professionals working in the river basin and water management sectors, but also any stakeholder involved in the river basin planning process.
 
Better River Basins has been developed by WWF with support from HSBC as part of its Investing in Nature programme. Peter Bull, manager of HSBC in the Community, explained: “The site will enable stakeholders in any river basin anywhere in the world to learn from others and improve freshwater management for the benefit of people and nature”.
