Ditch The Bait Dropper

It's important to get your hemp in the right place and loose feeding on a fast river is a bit hit and miss.

Bait droppers can help, but aren't very easy to use unless your swim is on the near bank.

I add crushed hemp to my hemp (to make it sticky) and then freeze it in a couple of dozen individually wrapped tangerine sized balls. Take these out just before you leave and pop them in a freezer bag. You now have hemp which will drop like a stone - giving you more confidence it's in the right place.

Feed your swims on arrival and it'll defrost on the bottom while you tackle up.
