Gaffer Gaffer (as he's known to his friends) is a 34 year old father of two from Northamptonshire. He has fished since the age of 7, starting in a tiny stream for sticklebacks. He dabbled in match fishing in the 1980's, but got hooked on carp fishing in 1992 after accidentally hooking a 6lb fish on light feeder tackle! Gaffer is a self-confessed tackle tart and his favourite style of luring his quarry is the 'Lift' method with trout pellet paste. His other passion is Martial Arts, and his track record speaks for itself: 2nd Dan Black belt and Instructor of TaeKwonDo. British Middle weight Champion '96. English Middle weight Champion '95,'96,'97. British Black Belt Team Champ - 3 per team (Gaffer and his 2 brothers!) '98. British demolition/Breaking Champion '98. (of which he is the former British Sparring and Demolition/Destruction Champion.)
