Usually referred to
as Britain’s leading fisheries management consultant, Bruno Broughton has
agreed to become a regular contributor to Anglers’ Net. A fisheries scientist by
profession, Bruno spent a decade with the former Severn-Trent Water Authority before
setting up his consultancy business in 1988. Since then, he has completed some 900
assignments on a huge range of waters throughout the British Isles.
He also serves as Technical Director of the Angling Trades Association, Administrator to the Professional Anglers’ Association and a member of the Moran Committee. He’s even found time to help set up and teach part time on the fisheries courses at Rodbaston College.
Bruno is no stranger to the big fish scene – he’s previous General Secretary and magazine editor to the NASA, as well as scientific advisor to (and Honorary Fellow of) the PAC. His big fish tally includes English carp and pike over 34lb, roach to 2lb 10oz, double-figure bream and tench to almost 9lb.
Bruno has written more than 300 angling articles, so expect some interesting contributions to Angler’s Net and some authoritative answers to readers’ queries.
