The Perchfishers
The Perchfishers are a relatively small, select group of specimen hunters numbering just over 50. Despite their apparently small membership, they have recorded a number of successes over the years, including the publication of the Book Of The Perch and a four substantial sum being donated to the Anglers Conservation Association. They produce a bi-annual magazine called The Perchfisher and quarterly newsletters. Benefits of membership include an AGM with guest speakers and access to restricted waters. The Perchfishers are small in number because they choose to be, with membership being based on achievement, not on the ability to fork out the £22 required to join. Famous members include John Wilson (President), Archie Braddock, and Fred J Taylor. If you would like to find out more about The Perchfishers, please telephone the Secretary, Steve Richards, on 01462 480353 and mention that you saw their details on Anglers' Net or visit their website at www.tdvan.freeserve.co.uk/theperchfishers.htm |
