Freshwater Informer consists of up to date local fishing news, as well as broader articles, such as the ones that will appear on Anglers' Net. Therefore, you do not have to be a local to the south-east to enjoy reading it. Having now been around for over 30 editions, it would appear that the success of Freshwater Informer has secured it a long term future, a testament to the dedication of Roger and his team, who have worked hard to produce a popular paper in these days of big-money publishing houses who have the financial resource, it would seem, to squeeze out the smaller players. Not so with Freshwater Informer - you can't keep a good read down! If Roger's memory serves him correctly, his first ever published article appeared in the well known weekly journal, Angling Times, in 1962. Roger seems to recall that this article appeared on the same page as Fred J Taylor and a certain Dick Walker was also writing for Angling Times at the time! Anglers' Net would like to thank Roger for his support and we hope that a few of our readers, not just those in the south-east area, ensure that they receive a copy of Freshwater Informer every month by either visiting their local outlet and asking for it by name, or by taking out a subscription to have it delivered to their door. Those of you involved in the angling trade are missing out on a great opportunity if you are not already advertising in Roger's publication. Most of Roger's advertisers have been with the Freshwater Informer for a long time, an indication of its success. Please click here to find out how to contact Freshwater Informer - it costs nothing to find out a little more and not much more to get it delivered to your door.
