The Rod Mat is a simple but effective piece of kit favoured by many top carp anglers. It is a dual-purpose reel protector/slack line fishing mat. Peg underneath your reels to prevent torrential rain splashing mud, sand or grit over your precious reels that could lead to damage. Or peg underneath your indicators when slack line fishing. The indicators can be laid on the mat avoiding contact with mud or line catching grass stems. Two rod mats can be used together for the front and rear of the set-up.
