It’s often the case that a tiger nut can provoke an instant reaction. Their crunchy texture and distinctly sweet taste mean they can on many occasions tempt a carp to pick up a bait where a boilie might well fail."

The Bait
You are viewing, and hopefully buying, a bag of  prepared tiger nuts. These are, generally, slightly larger than a standard tigernut - as a guide, most are around 1.2 - 1.6cms across, in their unprepared state.

These are despatched frozen. When they arrive, simply use them within the next few days, or put them in the freezer. Tiger nuts do not seem to mind being defrosted and frozen any number of times!

Tiger nuts are a killer bait for carp, but please make sure that the fishery you are fishing allows them.

Hair rigged, the potency of these baits will attract fish from far and wide. They are a great stalking bait, but also deadly fished over a bed of particles, such as hemp.
