How To Land Pike...For VERY Brave Anglers!

Landing pike safely, both for the fish and the angler, often involves a steep learning curve and even the most hardened pike anglers will still urge extreme caution, as one 'encounter' with those teeth or gill rakers can end in a bloody mess.

We stumbled across this video on YouTube. It isn't a method we'd particularly recommend, but you have to admire the guy landing this musky. The cold water alone would have been enough to put me off, let alone the thought of getting it wrong with a fish this size!

Well done to the anglers involved, though. Not only for sharing the experience with us, but for returning it to fight another day.
