When fishing in winter, if you have not got cosy padded boots, wellies can be
made bearable by wrapping silver foil over your socks before putting your boots
on.
Sounds weird, but it works.
Oh, and don't take your wellies off indoors afterwards. The foil will have
disintegrated into three million small pieces and will go everywhere!
