I'm still waiting for my double figure carp after more years fishing than I care to remember.
Had a session on Sunday with my son. He caught three ghost carp weighing 14.5, 12.5 and 12Ib.
After teaching him all I know, that's how he repays me!
I'm sure I'm not the only one to suffer this regular humiliation. Perhaps I should have sent him to ballet school instead of taking him fishing!!

Jason,

I have been fishing for most of my life, I've had some long gaps but always come back to it.

My point is my PB list is woeful(apart from one huge trout), I must have caught hundreds and hundreds of tench in my time, one morning I caught 33......not one has been over 4lb.

But I am stoical and accept that's the way it is for me, I must be lucky in love or something smile.gif

Hi Jason, welcome to AN. Both my son's do the same to me so don't let that worry you.

I waited over 12yrs to catch my first double figure barbel. I only said to Ray Walton a few weeks before I caught it that I wasn't sure if I even wanted to catch one! why? because everytime I went out I was so full of anticipation and every one I hooked just wondering 'if' this was the one. I didn't want to loose that feeling but I did after I caught it, well for a while anyway smile.gif

Don't put so much on setting targets, just enjoy your fishing, at the end of the day that is what you should be doing!
