Lymm anglers were nice well kept waters when I was a member. However they are no use if you want to fish for other predator fish then pike on sea baits.
Their waters hold some really good fish and also allow night fishing I'd still be a member if I could use live baits and dead course fish as bait. Sorry I have no experiance of Malton anglers to comment on. -------------------- Tony B.T Jolley

thanks for your feed back tony, i have just been checking each clubs waters on a map and although lymm does seem to have a bigger head of lakes and rivers to fish i may well join Bay malton this year as the waters are slighty closer to my home, will probably join lymm next year when hopefully my finances will allow me to be a member of both

Jonah,
Thinking about it I would sooner be a member of Warrington then Lymm. They have just leased a stretch of the Trent as well. -------------------- Tony B.T Jolley

Im a member of Lymm and they have some great waters but they can be quite strict with the rules at the moment due to some D***heads spoiling other people's fishing, and it can sometimes be hard to get a decent peg on some waters early in the season. The other rule which some people dont like is you can not fish the non dayticket waters that stay open during the closed season without doing a workparty(small price to pay in my opinion if you want to fish clean well maintained banks).
I was looking to join bay malton last year as i was told it was a verry good club with some nice waters but i joined warrington instead as they have a stretch on the ribble which i wanted to fish.I may try and join bay malton next year tho. Warrington have a lot of waters but some of them (especially the still waters) can be quite littered and from what ive seen they dont seem to be as strict as Lymm. -------------------- Regards Paul Mc

Im a member of Warrington. I toyed with the idea of joining Lymm, they have a much bigger selection of waters but when i put it into persepctive they are twice as expensive than Warrington and by comparison Warrington still have a shed load of quality fisheries. I guess it comes down to personal preference. Once I find a venue i like id rather get to know it properly as opposed to jumping around from venue to venue each week. For me Lymm had litterally too much choice (if thats possible!) and like paul i also heard rumours from my local tackle shop of tossers on some of their waters. But hey you get them everywhere!

Jonah13.
The only significant thing I know about BMAC is that there is supposed to be a big clonking barbel in their stretch near the railway viaduct over the Dane near to Swettenham. It used to come out regularly but there is a waiting list for the swim! Supposedly nudging 14lb or so. Not heard much about it for a while. Anyway, more importantly, how do I get the "Not For Sale" logo on my posts? |

BMAC it is mate, sent off application
waiting list for a swim....seriously? they do say in there publications that they have barbel to specimen size in the their stretch of the dane I think you need to make 15 posts mate before you can select an avatar (via edit profile) the not for sale logo and the old United crest are there or if you want a different one you can send it via email to newt who will add it to the avatars for you to select hope this helps |

Waiting list for a swim? the mind boggles
maybe some sad day there will be a queue of 100 anglers waiting their turn for a ten minute session at a fiver a go. |
