Has anyone caught any fish today?

I spent the day with my son on a local river, probably the last session of the season, it was dire... not a bite, nothing, level was fine, flow was normal, a bit of colour but this river always is, sunny spells, overcast spells, not too cold I thought at least the chub would be having a go.

Still it was a very pleasant four hours trotting with the speedia, I even resorted to the tip eventually.

I hope someone somewhere can report a netfull to brighten my evening.

Yep had a great day, would like to say on a river but was on club lake. Lots of roach and carp up to 3lb on bunches of maggots or pellets in the margins. Had a big surprise in a perch nearing 2lb had a few tiddlers come out before but nothing nearing that size, thought is was a stripy carp at first!
Managed a carp just scrapping double figuers on a boilie.
Will have to make sure I get on river next week for the last weekend.

An amazing day! Jack after jack, sometimes on consecutive casts.
