I'm in 2 minds to pop down to a new water i've not fished before. It's a carp water with a very high stocking of carp up to 30lb. Big island in the middle, not sure of the depth but it is deep in the margins (I can't see the bottom anyway).
The reason i'm in 2 minds is because it will be a warm night tonight for this time of year, very warm in fact but a lot of rain and quite windy which will continue on to tomorrow night.
I don't mind the elements as i've got waterproof gear and I don't care about getting wet as long as I don't get too cold. My thoughts are if it is warmer today and tonight and tomorrow the fish might switch on and I could hook a fish, i'm also limited for time - about 4 hours max. I spent a lot of time making PVA bags last night with trout pellets and strawberry pellets along with the odd mini tiger nut boilee.

Also not sure how much feed to introduce, perhaps cast a couple of bags out on one rod with a bottom bait (I have some strawberry and tutti fruiti boilees currently swimming in "the Source" liquid and molasses liquid), and on the other rod a pineapple popup only.

I know I can just try it and see but would like to read some views from others to see if my approach is a wise one or not.

Update,
Well I went and had an awful couple of hours.
Fish were showing and jumping near the Island but those swims all taken. I opted for a swim as close as possible, no point in fishing to a spot where I couldn't see any fish tongue.gif
It was just a little windy which wasn't helping my casting whatsoever but I persevered until the windchill got too much. The guy next to me had caught 2 smallish carp (his words) at around 8 or 9lb and then had caught a lovely looking 25lb common, he also had a 21lb common before I got there, hearing this didn't help my confidence one bit sad.gif

I still enjoyed getting out as you can't catch if you don't get on the bank smile.gif
