I think I remember an article from a good couple of seasons ago . . it regarded a water which had been hit by bird eating predators . . there was a picture of an angler "gleaming" with a net of approx 100lb of fish (roach, small I think) . . I wonder if anyone remembers it and any subsequent follow ups on this "miracle of recovered waters" . . does anyone remember the water ? did it get hit again . . are there any fish left . . he seems never to have appeared again . . which is odd as it was such a brave statement !

I hope you are not thinking of Holme Pierpoint??? Which was hit by the cormorants a few years ago but they did restocked the lake with new fish but I don't think for one moment it ever didan angler top up a 100lb of Roach/Bream after the restock?

I don't think if was holme pierpoint . .

I remember the picture . . he had one of those wide mouthed keepnet attachements . .

alot of the fish were small . . and I think he caught them all on the whip ?

Yep . . it was in that nature . . how odd though it states in that article that fish are underthreat from cormorants . . .

- now I am worried . .
