There are some really useful threads on AnglersNet that I will want to refer to in the future. I'd like to bookmark them to my profile so I can locate them easily but can't figure out how to do this.

I assumed Subscribe to Topic would be the way to do it but this choice does not exist in the drop down Options box at the top right hand of any thread. Instead I have only Track this Topic (which doesn't seem to add the thread as a link my profile) or Subscribe to this Forum (which is not what I want either).

Can anyone tell me how I can "bookmark" a thread within my AN IP.Board profile?

Thanks.

MC

Hi, MC.

Have you tried hovvering your mouse over the 'post numbers'? In every post by a member of AN the posts are numbered, these are found in every post in the top right of every posting. So in responce to your question my reply will be numbered #2 in the top right of my reply.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not entirely sure I understand what you are proposing though. I want to bookmark the whole thread, not just a single post. And i want to bookmark it to my AN Profile. With your solution I guess i could copy and paste the URL of a single post to my AN Profile's "personal note pad" but this is not very elegant.

What I really want to be able to do is subscribe to a thread in the same way as I am when I post to a thread, but without actually having to post to it (if you see what I mean), such that the thread would be listed in my AN Profile under Subscription > View Topics, permanently.

Just add the page to you favourites, when it's saved you can edit the title to what you want to call it.

The page is saved with it's unique URL, like all favourites.

Hope this helps. wink.gif

Thanks, but I use many computers so browser based favourites are not useful to me. I want to save the threads/topics to my AN profile.

Cheers. My problem was that this suggestion did not seem to work. This was because I was already subscribed to the thread in question, and as I'd subscriibed over thirty days ago the thread did no show up by default in Subscriptions > View Topics.
