Had a fantastic day and christened my yak with fish, my mate and I went out this yesterday afternoon just past the wreck I caught a nice size mackerel and a small bass which went back, Stuart had a mackerel and a Pollack, he also lost his anchor, snapped his rod, broke his reel and tipped over in his yak, and he still says he had a ball, even helped rescue a sunken boat and truck from the high tide. We had a great day can't wait for our next trip.

Sounds like a cracking day - well done (hopefully your mate will have a less expensive trip next time)

Oxwich gets mentioned a lot on the different websites - sounds it a becoming a bit of a mecca for Kayak fishing - were there any others about ?

Oxwich has always been popular with boat anglers because of the concrete launch ramp, as for the kayakers it is ideal as it is sheltered from the wind most of the time and there's an old sunken wreck out about 500yards which always holds fish.
There were lots of anglers fishing off the rocks yesterday, and a few kayakers just having a paddle.
Parking is just off the beach so launching is the yak is easy. Also www.euphoriasailing.com Have a shop on the beach and they hire out kayaks by the hour if anyone wants a try at yaking
