Right to cut a long story short, I have just been cleaning my pole when the elastic snapped, sad.gif it had been elasticated through the top 2 sections, and the elastic has gone right inside. The bung is stuck in the second section and will not come out, it had no holes in it so the coat hanger down the hole option is gone.

Help would be very very very much appreciated.

Stefan

Stefan, hi did you get a withdrawal rod with
your bung? How far up the pole is the bung ?

sometime's gentle heat hot water some times
expandes the pole, then gentle taps on a soft
surface carpet,if the pole is wet inside
dry out first.

that doesnt work (copper wire) the thin end still has the elastic down it all tangled up. when i was tying a new connector on because my old one snapped, the elastic sprung down. wd40 isnt a bad idea, ill mix em up an see what happens.

stefan your idea to go to the tackle shop seems spot on ,but get them to show you how to re elastic it .i use a system (sorry can,t remember the name) with a black rod that fits in twist and out comes the bung which it attached to the elastic ,easy to use and you can tighten or loosen the elastic on the bank depending on how things are going .good luck and let us know how you got on .cheers big al

The ones you're on about are made by Vespe. They are a good idea, as Al says you can adjust the tension of the elastic dead easy.

The only thing is they're easy to lose. (Well I lost 2 anyway.)
