I have just sent further correspondence to the E.A. regarding the Peter Collins affair, as it has now been 6 months, and nothing heard.
I urge you to Please feel free to do the same.
It seems that licence dodgers are brought to book within 6 months.

Those with experience of such matters think we should keep quite, incase it effects the outcome. I disagree with them and agree with you that it is time to up the agro Nugg. The EA, as seen from afar, appear to be out of order, big time. I don't mind if the bloke is found not guilty, I do mind that the EA does not appear to be acting.

Perhaps the time has come to address our concerns to the Chief Executive of the E.A., with copies to our local MPs.

I had a reply! Its still being considered. By heck, those strawberry wafers and jammy dodgers are keeping the lads in the EA legal dept busy. Doders or wafers? Dodgers or wafers? Dodgers or wafers? matter is still with the Agency's legal team. Once this has been
completed, appropriate action will be taken in accordance with our

I have been continually scanning, the "News" section on your web
site. I find that there are numerous reports of persons being prosecuted for illegal fishing, for which you give yourselves a pat on the back, and quite rightly too, incidentally, for what it's worth, you have my personal commendation.
I however, I find it somewhat disconcerting that I have not yet seen a report of any prosecution for the admitted use of the illegal implements, which is the subject of this correspondence. I.e. the admitted use of set lines and a gaff, by Mr Peter Collins, on February 17th, 2004 on the Old River Nene at Whittlesey

I can only assume that an investigation is still on going and that the matter will be duly processed in the fullness of time.

I can assure you that this matter is constantly the subject of some discussion amongst the angling fraternity, and is regarded with some trepidation as to the outcome.

I can only put forward my own expectation that the Agency will fulfil its remit and uphold the law, as much in this case, as it does with the E.A. fishing licence dodgers, who, incidentally, seem to be brought before the Courts within six months of the offence.

Would that be more like it?

Did threaten that their fave sheep might just be infected with an unmentionable disorder which could cause rampant troubles down below for those not extracting their digits.
