The above link is funny although it does have good ideas in it.

This one, http://www.joehobart.com/postingguide.htm , is one I intend to save and will be using it on occasion as a reply to some folks. Great stuff. The URL name will be familiar to anyone who gets deep into tech issues on www.windowsbbs.com since Joe Hobart is a poster who knows more about the guts of the Windows operating system than I ever will. It takes a while to load MickJ. No progress bar will show up and even with broadband it takes maybe 20-30 seconds.

If you run IE, you will also need to allow ActiveX on the page and depending on your settings, you may or may not be prompted. I'm set like the picture since I want to know when a page tries to download a control and can choose yes or no.

Settings were already set as above. Though altering the setting for Activex Controls and Plug-ins to 'prompt' did the job, now working OK.
