Hi all,
I Live in birmingham and would love to find a day ticket pond to fish during the close season.

I DONT want to be fishing mud holes filled with carp.

I am looking for a nice pond with a bit of everything. Tench, bream odd carp, roach and perch would be nice.

Hope you can help or point me in the right direction.

Joel

I have fished Cannon Hill and the res you mention but not the best of venues imo.

Trying to find some fairly natural looking with a decent head of fish to pass this closed season.

Thanks for the help though

i have fished the big lake,if you fish it,make sure the wind is in your face, and if you fish the "greens"side which has parking behind the pegs you may want to take a hard hat lol,if you can get on try the pleasure pool (ford pool)on the left as you drive in to the car parks by the
club house.they do a nice breakfast served up by the prettiest waitresses.Nigel Harrhy is a very nice guy he is the fishery manager and very approachable if he's there he'll tell which are the best pegs.

i fished it last summer in the intersite individual match, most tactics work there in the
barston lake nigal put aload of small carp in last year and theres bream .perch ,roach etc plus
big carp

i hope you go,and i hope you catch a few fish

I think the cormorants have eaten everything except carp!

Try looking at http://www.fishooked.com and it is a free membership. You will find most of the fishery information.
