only really heard good things about them, one thing to bear in mind however is that most of the petrol ones use the rover K series engine, so spares and support for those engines may be patchy now.....

my dad has a range rover and that has a very good performance,so i would imagine a free lander would be the same, only a bit smaller. his one is a 4.6 v8 petrol so it's definitly got the power for going over the rough terrain to get to the fishing spots!

Have a look at Honest John.
Don't use the site search, use the drop down box a bit lower down. Honest John -------------------- On average, people have fewer than two feet.

You got that right!
I've lived and worked in the Libyan Sahara and wouldn't have any sort of landrover for a bet. Get a Toyota Landcruiser and do it properly. Best 4X4 by far Dave -------------------- Let's agree to respect each others views, no matter how wrong yours may be.

I too heard the Freelander was not too hot on reliability. The Nissan X-Trail seems to have had good write-up's though... here
