Hello I am wanting to try flavouring maggots, but I don't know how much flavour to add, as I have read to much is a bad thing.
I have the Van Den Eynde range of liquid flavours, but it does not say on the bottle of how much you should use. How much liquid attractor would I need to flavour say a pint of maggots.
Also does anyone know a good Tench flavour,
Cheers

If they don't tell you, then they don't deserve to have their flavours used at all ohmy.gif !

I can't give you specific advice, as its not a flavour I use.

The best advice I can give is try a couple of mls (thats about half a teaspoonful) per pint of maggots. Put it in the maggot box the night before you go fishing. See what sort of a whiff it has the next day.
Judging on that, and results, you can increase or decrease the dose next time.

Flavour is all about experimenting until you get a good result.

I use the Archie Braddock range ( braddocksbaits.co.uk) The "Tench Magic" is just that - magic! use about 5 drops to the pint.

Good luck

I tried flavoured maggots a few weeks ago and put far too much in - they turned into a big frothy mess of brasem and ammonia, horrible! And then died.

I reckon Vagabond's right, less is more...
