"UK meaning of fanny"
I have been told that the title of the (real, actual, no joke) Fanny Farmer's Cookbook is even funnier in the UK than here. In the US it is an only ever so slightly naughty name for the buttocks. I've been told you folks have a slightly different usual meaning. -------------------- "Democracy dies when the people wanting their government to take care of them outnumber those wanting to take care of themselves." - Author Unknown - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For a selection of lures, reels and other items, visit my eBay shop http://stores.ebay.com/JaNewt-eMart |

Good ones, Newt. Now here's one for you. I recently read in Ghosts of Vesuvius that although thousands of people and dogs have been found in the ashes of Pompei and Herculaneum, not one cat has been found. None.
Go figure. This post has been edited by severus: May 9 2008, 01:04 AM -------------------- |
