Well, we have some churches with some practices that seem strange to those of us who don't subscribe to that particular sect or it's beliefs in how to worship. Rural Tennessee has several varieties.
This was just a song poking mild fun at them. The same singer also did one about a squirrel running amuck in a rural Baptist Church and causing a few of the older ladies in long dresses to think they had a sign from on high when the squirrel ran up under their dress and scampered over parts that hadn't been scampered for a long time, if ever.
