fish light as you can get away to make the most of the terrific scrap, with small worm baits tipped with mackie or squid strips.

Hi mickbe

Interested to find out if you fish the wreck just off chesil beach for them? If so do you use a kayak for them. Thanks

hi barry
yes i have fished the adelade wreck for many years and had some good triggers, i am a recent convert to yak fishing so have yet to try the adelade, the main problem with it will be getting on it without getting a 6oz lead on your bonse as it is a very popular mark for the beach anglers.

Thanks for that mickbe, i like a bit of comfort under me feet so i like the charter boats down there. Totally jealous of where you live. Many times we have come inshore to fish and i do see where there is an advantage of using a kayak around that area. We have caught good wrasse off the rocks at portland and have had great fun infront of the hood entrance where the weather has brought us inshore along with good fishing just off the beaches in winter. I imagine kayak marks there to be numerous, good luck to you with your new sport.
