Despite years of abuse and neglect, my Shimano 8010's have never let me down. I rate them very highly indeed.

However, I've finally found a punishment they can't take - a lard-arsed carp angler falling on top of them (me). sad.gif

Yep, I managed to bend two of the spindles that the handles are attached to. Quite how, I don't know, as I can't bend them back to shape very easily! I've done the best I can, but would feel more confident with new handles and spindles.

Where can I buy these?

Cheers,

Elton

Give them a ring here.

They've always been spot on with me.

Good luck.

Felindre Servicing - as suggested by Howard 13. They are really excellent.

I spend £32 and fall on my backside all the time. It's called, "Happy Hour"

Two new handles for £16 each. I'm surprised they cost that much. You can buy half-decent reels for £16 these days..... well, not quite, but not far off!

I must admit, Jim, that I did consider upgrading them at that point. One benefit I do have from running a few sites is that I can usually source stuff fairly cheaply if it is for bona fide personal use, which these definitely are.

I'll have to wait until Christmas now smile.gif

Thing is, I have loads of reels, but just love my 8010's biggrin.gif

Elton, it is a known fact that you cannot have too many reels. Nor too many rods, for that matter. Indeed, it is the height of irresponsibility to deny yourself such small pleasures - go on, go for it, treat yourself to some new ones!
