according to ceefax that when people in iran to celebrate the start of the new year they bring a goldfish into the house,and that 5 million goldfish perish each year!perhaps if they put them in water they might last longer!

I worked there for three years and never heard of that.
Most of the local customs were well known like whipping themselves and putting meathooks into themselves. Goldfish certainly never turned up infact I cannot remember seeing any in the local souks. Interesting. -------------------- I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. NFSA PM
