what a day my mate and i had yesterday, out for only a few hours on the flow of the tide.launched from restbay.s.wales at 4pm paddled to a mark probably 300yds offshore, trawled a lure on the way out and had 2 bass, well lost mine(this was the beginning of a bad day for me)we got to our mark set up anchor not 20 ft away from each other,we both used the same bait,i caught nothing in fact didnt even have a bite.where as my mate had 6 smooth hounds to 12lb a nice bass 6lb,a small cod would you believe, and countless dogfish.i even managed to snap my rod on the last retrieve plus our anchors got snagged and we had to cut them free wow what a strong tidal race, bit scary trying to pull the anchor free, and both nearly tipped over.top it all on the way in i took a tumble in the surf and lost my spool of anchor rope, and had to gather half my gear which was strewn across the beach.all in all a grand day out ..
