I was watching Predators this morning about dead baiting and using meat for chub.
Do any of you know of a good place to try this on a day ticket in the north west.

Tony, I'm not sure about any specifics in the NW, but the method will work well on any river fishery where Chub live.
I'd suggest any of your Eel fisheries, where you keep getting pestered by "nuisance" Chub! In fact, I increased my PB Eel to 4.5lb last year, from one of My favourite Chub swims, on a double hair rigged Whitebait. luverly!

I was quite surprised, as it was blinking cold, windy, rainy, during the day in a high flow. Not how you'd usually catch an eel I wouldn't have thought.

I have not fished here for a few years but i am reliably informed that the Chub in the river Dane at Croxton lane(middlewich) are quite parcial to a peice of steak and mince as loose feed.
Last time i went it was day ticket monday to friday and members only(northwhich aa)at the weekend. If you give daves of middlewich(local tackle shop) a ring i am sure he will be able to tell you if day tickets are still availble.
