Credit card fraud up 20% - Banks are saying it would be higher without chip and pin. I always said it was stupid - what do you think??

Don't use credit cards, they will have to fight hard to get the money out of my pocket.

I do have the old fashion cheque card and book, no charges, no electronic wizardry.

20% fraud is largly down to thieving posties, (according to the radio this morning), getting hold of pins and cards from the post.

Apparently the fraudsters are using the baulk issue of chip n pin cards as a last "window of opportunity"

Won't bother the credit card companies. It's the consumers and retailers who bear the brunt of it all
