It was absolute agony to hold it up like that spine, neck and shoulders shot could not force a smile.
Yes the fish had some damage and I took a rusting size twoish hook from the gill area, can only guess the it was foul hooked a while back. Out of sight is an unhooking mat but I cannot do the bending position bit, it was returned gently with a spot of methylene blue over injured area always do this even to the smaller fish. Costs so little yet does a lot of good. Prime fish deserve all we can give them for there trauma.

Little Tinca - great looking fish. One day I really hope I can manage to add one of those myself. Only commons so far though.
