Just finished responding to a post on the CAG (US Carpers mostly) forum. We had been discussing big fish venues in the US and someone mentioned that in his options, a lake named Toledo Bend in Texas might hold the largest carp in the US.

A new poster who has no personal information in his profile at all asked if anyone could tell him a little more about the lake. LOL - my response (with this picture) may not have helped him much.

Well, it's about 100 miles NE of Houston, TX and it's a decent size lake. Any particular part you are interested in?

Nice lakes. Wish they were closer to me. Did you get a chance to fish either or both?

Not as big but the buffalo near me are lots of fun. Always a chance of breaking the 88lb state record. A group of us will be spending a weekend in mid-October camped on an island and fishing for them. I'll try to post some pics and a trip report.
