Just had an hour or so's angling this afternoon. There is a spot that sometimes throws up a good perch on a dull day. So off I went, rod in hand.
Walking to the swim I passed a man and his son. A 'catching much' gained the admission of 'not yet'. The young fella was fidgetting like heck and Dad was doing his best. In the end I heard him threaten, "If you don't sit still we are going home and I'll sell you on E.Bay". And before you ask, I blanked! -------------------- PETER

Andy - IMHO a blank with lures beats hell out of a blank with deads.
Fish are fun but absent those, working the lures and waiting for a light tap or a solid smash keeps the mind better occupied than sitting, and sitting, and sitting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. S'alright Newt. You don't have to sell lure fishing to me. I spent 90% of my fishing time year doing little else.
