The current copy of Coarse Fisherman includes a catalogue from a company called Ultimate. They appear to be Dutch (some of the text comes across a bit strangely in translation!). They make some beautiful looking lures, including perfect replicas of baby pike, but there seems to be no indication of where you can buy them from - anyone know of a stockist?

No idea.
Dumb name for a company though. You have just about no change of finding them using a search engine. -------------------- Species caught in 2008:
Barramundi. p-i-k-e-y sea bream. Indian sea catfish. Guitarfish. Mangrove Jack. Mahseer. Squid (Not strictly a fish but it took a lure !). Emporer Sweetlip. Black Spot Snapper. Moray eel. Spangled Emperor. Bluecheek silver grunt. Yellow striped emperor. Vanikoro sweeper. Pike. Perch. Brown trout. Chub. Atlantic salmon. |

The company you are mentioning are Ultimate Hengelsport UK Ltd, which indeed is a UK daughter of a very large and well-respected Dutch tackle distributor.
However, I think it is fair to say that Ultimate UK easily can be awarded first price for stupidity and a huge waste of marketing budgets. They have had their rather impressive predator fishing catalogue as insert with various angling publications, in addition to full page adds here there and everywhere, but no mentioning of where to buy their stuff or how to contact them in order to find out. Even worse, the UK website they have mentioned in their various adverts doesn’t even work and the parent company website are only in Dutch and German. Some of the range from Ultimate can be bought from Sovereign Superbaits and I suspect they can get hold any of the items not displayed on their website. http://www.sovereignsuperbaits.co.uk/ |

Thanks, Vidar6 and Chesters - I'll definitely be getting some of their lures (although I think I can resist the temptation to buy one of their rods called "Gentle Jerk").
