Cheers Newt, the finder arrived this morning, waking the whole household up!

The finder looks good & am sure it has survived the journey. The packing was undamaged.

The enclosed plug looks good. Perfect size with excellent hooks for piking. Will give it a go later. I feel a spot of trolling coming on.

The hooks, brillient. The small jobs looks the mutts nutts for perch and carp, appreciated.

Hope you like the goodies that I have sent in return.

You are a diamond geezer!

P.S. Made it to a post office this morning, sorry for delay. Hope you'll like the additional goodies. I'm sure that you'll agree that the hooks that I sent you are fair exchange for the ones that you sent me biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif !

Glad the package arrived and in good shape Peter.

I wondered about the plug. Size and hooks I pretty much knew would be OK but wasn't sure about the color. Good for here and was hoping the same would be true for the UK. With that large lip, I think trolling is the only way to avoid wearing your arm out though since trying to wind one of those in after a cast gets tough after a few times. biggrin.gif

Love to hear how the hooks work out for you. Especially interested in how the larger circle hooks do for pike.

If you ever do any catfishing, they are probably the best pattern you'll ever find. I used nothing else on the Red River several years ago and we caught lots of decent catfish with none deep hooked and best I remember, only one getting off after being hooked and we had lots of fish that week.

The largest circle hooks that you sent are a tad bigger than what I already use. It will be interesting to see if this makes any difference.

The ones that I sent you are typical English jobs, ideal for big fish.

Lure colour, who knows! I like a deep diver that I can trip along the bottom. Have a cerise and purple plug that is very similar in shape and that does very well. Once again it will be interesting to compare the colours.

Thanks again Newt.

As long as I can see the hook (so #10 or larger) and they have a hole to put line through, I'm game to try most anything.

So the 8/0 circle is larger than your usual pike hook? Hmmmm.
